Aths: Montgomery sees grudge motive in USADA probe

SAN FRANCISCO, June 18 Reuters - Tim Montgomery's lawyer says the world's fastest man
is being investigated over possible steroid use by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) because
of allegations made by a personal enemy, the head of the BALCO laboratory.

Cristina Arguedas, lawyer for the world 100 metres record holder, responded today to
a USADA letter 10 days ago which started a review process that could ban Montgomery from
the Athens Olympics in August.
