The break with tradition here is just about complete. Barring a change of heart, the annual Hall of Fame Game won't be staged on induction weekend anymore.
"It looks that way. I never say never, but it's worked well, so we're going to continue," said Katy Feeney, senior vice president for scheduling and club relations for Major League Baseball. "You still get a game. You get the induction ceremony. Cooperstown gets two big weekends instead of just one. You still get major league teams up here. That was becoming more and more difficult to do."
