EDITOR'S NOTE - After two hours of debate at the Assembly Committee on
Arts, Entertainment, Sports Tourism and Internet Media, Tuesday, the bill
failed to garner the necessary votes to pass committee. - K.W.
The California State PTA has joined in a community effort to urge lawmakers
to support legislation to prohibit vendors from selling or renting violent
video games to children and to require violent video games to be displayed
in a way that would prevent their easy visibility to children.
The California State PTA strongly supports AB 1792 and AB 1793 (Leland
Yee), bills that would regulate the display, sale and rental of harmful
