A reporter for The Macon Telegraph has resigned after editors determined that a story he wrote about the circus coming to town was plagiarized from a weekly circus newsletter, the newspaper said.
The resignation came three months after a Telegraph reporter was fired for lifting material from other publications.
Entertainment reporter Greg Fields resigned Monday, the Telegraph said.
An investigation found that his June 18 story about the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus was taken from the "Circus Report," a weekly newsletter for circus fans, Executive Editor Sherrie Marshall wrote in a note published Tuesday.
