NSW: Greece, Portugal soccer fans rev up for Euro 2004 final

SYDNEY, July 4 AAP - Hours from the Euro 2004 soccer final, thousands of Australians
of Greek and Portuguese descent tonight waved flags and tickets worth up to $30 as they
prepared to follow the game from half a world away.

Neither nation has won a major international soccer tournament and both are keen to
break that drought.

The excitement in Sydney's so-called little Portugal in Petersham was mounting fast,
said Ilidio Teixeira (Ilidio Teixeira), director of Sydney's Portuguese Radio.
