THE procedures in disposing toxic waste, including those brought in illegally, are being reviewed to plug all loopholes.
Deputy Natural Resources and Environment Minister S. Sothinathan said customs officers, especially those stationed at ports and airports, would also be educated on toxic waste.
"The training for these officers will be conducted by the Department of Environment. The knowledge gained will help them perform their duties better," he said when replying to an adjournment speech by Fong Po Kuan (DAP-Batu Gajah).
