The Price of LCD TV Drop

BEIJING, Jul 08, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- SinoCast - The fact that the price of PDP (plasma display panel) television sets dropped below CNY 18,000imposed new pressure to the price of LCD TV.

The interview at Gome and Suning suggested that color TV giantslike Skyworth, TCL, Konka and Hisense all quietly cut the priceof LCD TV.

The cut almost involves all types of LCD TV. At Gome, a CNY 7,888 22 inch Xoceco TV now labels a price tag of CNY 5,988, cut by CNY 1,900. The price of a 20 inch TCL television set is also cut from CNY 7,798 to CNY 6,999.

At Suning, the price of a 20 inch Skyworth LCD TV is cut from CNY 7,800 to CNY 6,800, that ...
