Ten: French Open champion Gaudio reaches semi-finals

STUTTGART, Germany, July 16 AFP - French Open champion Gaston Gaudio reached the semi-finals
of the 614,750 euro ($A1.05 million) ATP tournament today to become the final seed left
in the clay court competition.

Second seed Gaudio beat Czech Jiri Novak 6-4 6-3 in 66 minutes and will meet Spain's
43rd world-ranked David Ferrer who beat countryman Rafael Nadal 6-3 6-7 (7-3) 7-5.

Ferrer even saved three match points in the third set when Nadal had led 5-4 but fought
his way ...
