Vic: Worst feared for six people aboard missing plane

MELBOURNE, July 28 AAP - Authorities fear the worst for six people aboard a small plane
bound for Benalla in north-eastern Victoria after more than four hours without radio or
radar contact.

Australian Search and Rescue spokesman Ben Mitchell said the last radio contact with
the plane had been at 11am (AEST) today and the last known location 30 km south-east of
Wangaratta.

"We are basing our search and rescue plan on the presumption that the plane has crashed
but we are not ruling out any possibilities at this stage," Mr Mitchell said.
