A Route 35 bridge that had to be closed to traffic Tuesday is beyond repair and will be replaced with a temporary span while the state draws up plans for a new structure. A prefabricated, military- style bridge should be in place within two weeks, restoring traffic between upper and lower Kennebunk on Route 35, according to Maine Department of Transportation spokesman Greg Nadeau.
