The American Academy of Emergency Medicine in India had its first general
body meeting of the year March 20, where one of the topics of discussion
was the Emergency Medicine Conference 2004 slated for November in Mumbai,
India.
The conference, dubbed Emcon 2004, is sponsored by AAEMI, the Society of
Emergency Medicine - India, and the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health
System in New York. Members, directors and guests attended the meeting,
held at the Lang auditorium of the New York hospital in Queens, New York.
AEMI seeks to promote emergency medicine as a specialty in India, enhance
the quality of emergency medical care, raise public awareness of the scope
