Scandal-struck dairy giant Parmalat said Friday it has filed a lawsuit seeking to recover euro290 million (US$350 million) from Swiss bank UBS Limited.

Parmalat, which is reeling from a massive fraud scandal involving billions of euros (dollars) in missing money, said in a statement that it has filed the claim at a court in Parma.

It was the second action by the company against a bank, following a lawsuit against Citigroup Inc. filed in a New Jersey court last week. Parmalat said then that the suit against Citigroup was part of a process aimed at seeking "recovery from third parties believed to have played a role in ...
