Addressing a dignitary-filled audience at Washington D. C.'s Constitution
Hall where he and his wife Camille were honored for their philanthropy work
last month, news reports said actor Bill Cosby spouted out inflammatory and
demeaning remarks about lower-class blacks, offending many.

According to reports, Cosby spoke on education, the lack of proper speaking
skills, lack of parenting and high-volume of criminal activity as
instruments affecting the African American community.

Cosby defended his statements on the "Tavis Smiley Show" last week, saying
some of what he said was taken out of context by mainstream media
organizations.
