AFL: Power blitz knocks Demons off top spot

ADELAIDE, Aug 8 AAP - Melbourne coach Neale Daniher admitted some mental softness might
have crept into his side after it crashed from the top of the AFL ladder with a 73-point
loss to Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium today.

The Power dominated from the start to win 18.17 (125) to 6.16 (52), helping St Kilda
into top spot, while Port climbed into second position, ahead of the third-placed Demons,
on the back of today's win and handy percentage boost.

While Port entered the game snarling after last week's unexpected 40-point loss to
Essendon, Daniher conceded his Demons were off the boil, ...
