Qld: Drunk driver should have faced life sentence

An appeal court's been told a man who killed three teenage pedestrians in a drunken
hit-and-run in Queensland should have faced a life jail term.

Two of the state's appeal court judges have asked the Crown to explain why drunk driver
ROBERT FROST, aged 25, was not charged with manslaughter over the incident.

Justices BRUCE MCPHERSON and JOHN JERRARD queried the decision to charge FROST with
dangerous driving causing death, which carries a maximum 14-year jail term.
