A funeral service provider falsely advertised it was affiliated with national veterans organizations and didn't deliver products as promised, state prosecutors said Friday.

Attorney General Jerry Pappert filed a civil lawsuit and a preliminary injunction against Celestial Life Planning Inc., also known as Celestial Burial Case Inc., and company president Joseph M. Stabile.

The attorney general's office was seeking restitution for 28 customers in 10 states, saying they paid for funeral products or services they never received or received products different from what they were promised.
