Dustan Mohr allowed two runs to score when he dropped a fly ball in the 12th inning, and the New York Mets overcame a shaky return by Tom Glavine and a team-record six double plays to beat the San Francisco Giants 11-9 Saturday.
The game featured 10 double plays, 16 walks and three errors. But the biggest mistake was made by Mohr.
Just when it looked as if Giants reliever Kevin Correia (0-1) was going to pitch his way out of a bases-loaded, none-out jam with help from a sharp double play by first baseman Pedro Feliz and catcher Yorvit Torrealba, Mohr's gaffe gave New York the win.
