What a tragedy it is when a man of 30 plus drops dead of a heart attack
while helping his father in the garage! It hurts more if one knows the
family. Years ago, my medical college mate's father, an ENT surgeon, died
while playing tennis at age 43!

It is clear from studies in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Singapore,
Fiji and Trinidad, that Indians, in fact South Asians, are prone to heart
disease at a very young age. Some years ago, the American Association of
