Rahiel Tesfamariam has been named editor of The Washington Informer
newspaper, according to Denise Rolark Barnes, publisher.

Tesfamariam has served as a reporter and assistant editor at the Informer
prior to her appointment which became effective last Friday.

"I am proud to have Ms. Tesfamariam as a part of our team," Rolark Barnes
said. "She has repeatedly demonstrated her abilities to identify the news
stories important to our readers and to work with our staff of seasoned
writers and photographers."
