New congregation to open in Solon

Come August, there will be a new Jewish voice in Solon.

Kol Chadash, Hebrew for "A New Voice," has opened its doors. The Reform
congregation has hired a spiritual leader, Rabbi Estelle Mills, and will
hold its first service August 13 in the Macklin Event Center on Enterprise
Parkway in Solon. After two months there, the congregation will rent space
through December at the Solon Community Center.

The 10 founding families primarily live in the southeastern suburbs,
including Solon, Aurora, and Twinsburg, says Steve Perry, who is the new
