Turkmens find new way to treat asthma

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Sep 09, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Turkmen scientists have discovered a new method of treating bronchial diseases with a low-frequency magnetic field, local media reported Thursday.

The scientists, Jora Muradov and Kurban Seyitnepesov, used magnetic fields with a frequency of 50 hertz, directing it at the front and the back of a patient's thorax, the Turkmenistan: zolotoy vek, or "golden age," Web site said.

Each treatment was 20 to 25 minutes in length for adults and 8 to 10 minutes for children. ...
