Woman gets rabies shots after bat seen
CANTON, Mich., Sep 09, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- A Michigan woman is bracing herself for a series of painful rabies shots after a bat was seen flying out of her hospital room.
Jan Losi, 54, spent a weekend at University of Michigan hospital after going to the emergency room complaining of chest pains. Doctors told her not to worry about the chest pains, but said she was facing treatment for rabies, WIDV-TV reported.
"My husband and I said, 'You've got to be kidding,'" Losi said. "We thought it was a joke, like, 'Where's Candid Camera?'"
