Article: New Voters Project registers success in U. Wisconsin vote campaign

(The Daily Cardinal) (U-WIRE) MADISON, Wis. -- With election day less than two months away, the University of Wisconsin-Madison branch of the New Voters Project announced they have already registered 3,218 young voters, and said they hope to register a total of 10,000 by Nov. 2.

The group's Assistant Organizing Director, Erica Garry, said an additional goal is to maintain high levels of young voters in the future.

"It's not just about the Nov. 2 election. It's about the long term," she said.
