September 22, 2004 Mr. Chairman and Members, Thank you for the opportunity
to appear before you today representing the Office of Dietary Supplements
(ODS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). I became Director of
ODS in late 1999, and I had the pleasure of appearing before the Committee
