Rangers are looking to recruit a Chinese player in the near future, according to chairman John McClelland as the Scottish club seek to exploit the Far East market through a new commercial agreement with Super League side Shenzhen Jianlibao.

"There is a definite attraction in that idea," said McClelland, who would like to see the Ibrox club join Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton in tapping into the marketing potential associated with signing a Chinese star.
