READING, U.K. (HedgeWorld.com) - Hedge funds and institutional
investors may be a match made mainly in risk/reward charts, but
definitely a pairing that could be profitable for the industry,
according to research completed at The University of Reading.
Harry M. Kat and Gaurav S. Amin's research suggests that
institutional investors are more willing to accept the potential for
reduced losses at the price of lower returns than private investors
that have been stalwart hedge fund investors in the past.
With announcements from major pension funds such as the California
Public Employees' Retirement System and ABP , institutional investors
