The Song of Songs is read on the Shabbat of Pesah, March 30.
The Torah reading for the seventh day of Pesah, April 3, is Exodus
13:17-15:26.
THE GREAT HASIDIC MASTER Dov Baer of Mezhirech taught that the
Jews in Egypt were enslaved in act, word and thought and that the
Exodus marked the liberation of deeds, while the song they sang
after crossing the sea marked the liberation of speech, en route to
Sinais liberation of the mind.
As usually translated, the Song at the Sea begins, Then Moses and
the Israelites sang (Exodus 15:1). Yet the He-brew, Az yashir Moshe
