Hull's Rosalind Brett is desperate to add to her two Commonwealth
Games silver medals by claiming a shock podium spot at the European
short course Championships tonight.
The Loughborough University student is still on course to claim
her first individual sprint medal after squeezing through to
tonight's semi-final of the 50m butterfly.
Brett recorded an impressive time of 27.4seconds, which saw her
finish third in her heat and qualify ninth fastest for the semis,
with the Netherlands' Inge Dekker the morning's pace-setter.
"I got the British record 12 months ago and I know I'm capable of
doing better this time around," said Brett.
