A Taste of the county was taken to London to mark Yorkshire Day.
Michael Wood, triple world champion town crier for the East Riding
of Yorkshire, greeted passengers on board Hull Trains' 8.12am service
to Kings Cross yesterday.
Yorkshire sweets, cake and biscuits were handed out throughout the
journey and Mr Wood also gave white roses to travellers.
An area of a carriage on board the train was decked out with
Yorkshire Day bunting and flags, as well as white roses.
Mr Wood addressed the crowds at Kings Cross and called for three
cheers for Yorkshire, as well as reading out the Yorkshire
Declaration of Integrity at 11.32am.
