Article: Sloppy west Hull throw away winnable game

A 14-point loss at a place like Leigh Miners Rangers may not seem too bad but this was a game West Hull should have won.

Having clawed their way back into this game at 16-14 Wests then allowed the home side to regain control.

"It wasn't a good performance from us after we managed to pull the game back to within two points at 16-14," said a disappointed assistant coach Adrian Hart.

"The game was there for us and we didn't take the opportunity we had created for ourselves. They scored a couple of quick tries and our heads went down.

"This saw the damage done and our concentration levels dropped considerably. We failed to recover from it and it ultimately saw us taste defeat yet again."
