Simon Brown is moving on and moving up.
It's the advice he's heard for the last six months: Forget the
longest night of his boxing career when he lost his welterweight
championship and make his debut at the next weight level, junior
middleweight.
Brown firmed up his plans Tuesday: He'll make his debut at the
154-pound limit June 26 on a card in Cleveland. He's hoping that
three fights in rapid succession will earn him a shot at Terry
Norris and his World Boxing Council super welterweight (junior
middleweight) title.
Brown also will have a new trainer. Richie Giachetti, who most
