Low-cost airline Flybe yesterday revealed plans for a massive
expansion of routes out of Aberdeen and Inverness on the back of the
planned takeover of British Airways' loss-making regional business BA
Connect.
Flybe also expects to create hundreds of new jobs at the two
Scottish airports.
The budget carrier currently flies three routes from the Granite
City - Belfast City, Exeter and Leeds Bradford - with a service to
Birmingham due to start in March.
Flybe's first Inverness route - to Belfast City - gets off the
ground next month.
The airline will increase its presence at both Scottish airports
with the BA Connect deal, picking up the Inverness to Gatwick service
and Aberdeen routes to ...
