Scottish Football League officials are confident the Challenge Cup
tournament will keep running for several years.
Ross County won this season's final on Sunday, beating Clyde 5-4
on penalties after the sides shared a 1-1 draw in Perth.
But the match was watched by just 4,062, the lowest attendance at
the final since its inception in 1990.
Since Bell's ended its seven-year sponsorship of the lower
leagues in the summer, there has been speculation whether the SFL can
afford to keep staging the Challenge Cup.
Secretary Peter Donald insists his organisation does have the
