Fast-growing Aberdeen company TS Marine is investing
pounds130million in a pair of specialist subsea well intervention and
decommissioning vessels, writes Energy's editor Jeremy Cresswell.
They will form the core of ambitious growth plans that could
generate more than 200 new on and offshore jobs in the North Sea and
worldwide by 2009.
Backing TS Marine is ABN AMRO, which is providing the debt
facility to enable the company to finance the ships, which have been
designed in Norway and will be built at the Astilleros Huelva yard in
northern Spain.
