One Aberdeen man is pounds1million richer this morning - but he
does not know about his huge windfall yet.
The resident of the Granite City was the winner of the Premium
Bond monthly pounds1million jackpot draw. But National Savings and
Investments, which runs the draw, was unable to get in touch with the
winner last night.
The man has a total of pounds7,400 holdings and the winning bond
number, 049WF012332, was bought in June 1998.
He is the third man from the north-east to scoop the monthly
jackpot, making it the luckiest region in Britain apart from London.
