A flood of runs gave way to buckets of rain, ruining prospects of
a gripping match at Newquay Sports Centre.
Saturday's ECB Cornwall Premier League fixture between the hosts
and St Just had all the makings of an epic before rain swept in to
disrupt most of the county's league programme.
St Just were 121 for two chasing 279 for victory when the rain
arrived after 28 overs with Newquay taking 12 points thanks to their
impressive batting performance.
The only Premier League fixture to go the full term was at
Boscawen Park, where Truro's five-wicket triumph over Camborne saw
