Justin Langer played his final innings in Somerset's opening
fixture in the new Pro40 competition against Kent Spitfires at the
County Ground on Wednesday.
Langer's stay with Somerset may have been short-lived, but it was
memorable. It ended with a knock of only five as Kent came out on top
by 109 runs on Wednesday, but that was a rare failure. His 342 in the
County Championship against Surrey being the innings that the purists
will point to as being his best for the county. Commenting on the the
Australian Test opener's time at Somerset, director of cricket Brian
