T was very frustrating to read a full-page article in the Western
Morning News by a London barrister who seems to think he understands
what has been happening in the town of his birth for the past six
years - and who seems reluctant to see our town move forward. His is
a blinkered view which fails to appreciate the nature of the town
centre regeneration project and the importance also being given to
the historic parts of St Austell, scheduled for restoration under the
pounds3.7 million Civic Pride initiative.
His comments were extremely unhelpful, coming at a time when the
town can at last look forward to seeing the progress which many have
worked diligently for over many years; the result ...
