Four-year-old Zach Dacey, from Newquay, helped bring the history of military transport to life at a special military heritage event this weekend by getting to grips with a model Tiger 1 tank.

Okehampton was the venue for the third Dartmoor Military Heritage Weekend, offering a range of demonstrations and attractions by Royal Marines and Army units.

Okehampton Training Camp, on North Dartmoor, whose military history goes back more than 130 years, was open to the public from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
