The singular key ingredient to comfortable dining has to be the
dining chairs. One can forgive plenty, if you are sitting
comfortably.
We all entertain at home so much more now and can find ourselves
sat around the dining table for several hours at just one sitting.
That said, one cannot consider the chairs in isolation to the
dining table. If, for example, you prefer to have a dining chair
with arms, and, in my opinion, this is always preferable, then you
will need to assess the height of arm in relation to the underside of
the table. Provided you want the chairs to stow away underneath,
there needs to be a few millimetres clearance.
