Hundreds of residents braved a deluge on Saturday to protest about
plans for a massage parlour and escort agency in a Cornish town.
About 300 turned out in Liskeard to oppose the scheme by Plymouth
businessman Marc Evens.
Local volunteers have pledged to picket the massage parlour once
it opens.
A planning inspector overruled Liskeard town and Caradon district
councillors and granted permission for Mr Evens to use a former
tattoo parlour at Unity House in Higher Lux Street as a "centre for
full body relaxation massage and an office for escort bookings".
The massage parlour would be next to the car park of the Nebula
Hotel, near to family homes and elderly residents in sheltered ...
