Traditional Westcountry delicacies are facing oblivion as
teenagers turn up their noses at regional dishes, according to a
supermarket survey.
Millions of teenagers have never even tasted a range of local
culinary delights such as Cornish pasties, clotted cream and
Barnstaple Fair pears.
Despite being voted one of Britain's favourite national dishes, a
survey has discovered that nearly half of teenagers have never eaten
clotted cream.
Even in Devon - the home of the cream tea- fewer than one in five
teenagers have tasted this rich delight.
Cornish pasties have also fallen out of favour, according to
research carried out by Sainsbury's. In Cornwall, nearly one in ten
