Traditional Westcountry delicacies are facing oblivion as teenagers turn up their noses at regional dishes, according to a supermarket survey.

Millions of teenagers have never even tasted a range of local culinary delights such as Cornish pasties, clotted cream and Barnstaple Fair pears.

Despite being voted one of Britain's favourite national dishes, a survey has discovered that nearly half of teenagers have never eaten clotted cream.

Even in Devon - the home of the cream tea- fewer than one in five teenagers have tasted this rich delight.
