2007 WORLD CHAMPIONS
They began the season as can't-miss Red Sox prospects who were
looking to make an impression during spring training in Fort Myers,
Fla. By season's end, they had made quite an impression, indeed.
While their careers might have been on the launching pad in
February, there was no denying the postseason sent second baseman
Dustin Pedroia and outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury rocketing toward
stardom.

It didn't matter who got top billing. The bottom line was that
the spark this talented pair of 24-year-olds provided in the
postseason was integral to the Sox' World Series sweep.
