After all the tabloid horror stories of recent months, the Amy Winehouse who appears in the 50-minute documentary (slyly titled I Told You I Was Trouble) that accompanies her new live DVD seems like an appealingly no-nonsense sort of individual. Brief snippets of live singing - including a nerve-shredding early performance for a ravening pack of executives in a corporate boardroom - are interspersed with fairly uninformative interviews with Amy's dad Mitch (in his taxi), her A&R man, and a series of star-struck Americans. The film's one genuinely telling moment finds Winehouse messing about in a record shop, shooting a segment for a TV pop show.
