He craves things now that he never even liked. There are days when
the temptation of a greasy school lunch forces Nick Liedel to walk
out of the cafeteria, or when a daydream about drinking a tall glass
of milk distracts him for 10 minutes during class.
Gone are the nights when he would take his girlfriend out to
dinner only to scarf down both of their meals. During wrestling
season, Liedel can hardly stand the smell of his mother's cooking.
And those brownies his grandmother wanted to give him for the
holidays? Better hide those until March.
"Sometimes it gets unbearable," said Liedel, a senior at Brooke
