Article: KING OF COOKIES ; N.Y. baker's chocolate chip wins raves over Toll House

It doesn't matter that New Yorker Kathleen King is bringing her baking advice to the South Shore - the very birthplace of the Toll House cookie. And she makes no apologies about the fact that she thinks her thinner, crisper cookie is - ahem - better.

"There's something addictive about these cookies. Most people - after they taste one, their first thought is to get another one. I like mine much better (than Toll House)," said King, who held a baking class earlier this month at Fruit Center Marketplace in Milton. Then she quickly added: "But I respect anybody's opinion."
