Article: 3 new faces on PG School Board

PRINCE GEORGE -- The county's schools will be led for the next four years by Robert E. "Bobby" Cox Jr., Roger E. Franklin, Kevin S. Foster, Kenneth W. Parr and Lewis E. Stevenson.

Cox, who received 1,772 votes, according to unofficial results Tuesday night, said before the election his dedication with the PTA in the county was a contributing factor to his initial decision to run. He has been a PTA member for 13 years, many as president.

Franklin, who lost a re-election bid four years ago was returned by voters. Franklin wanted to return to the School Board to bring some of his broader experience back to the board, he said. During his previous term, he was also a member of the county's ...
