Jimmie L. Holt, 71, an electronics engineer with Northern
Virginia federal contractors, died Oct. 27 of heart disease at his
home in Fairfax City.
Mr. Holt was born in Ronceverte, W.Va., and served in the Air
Force as a young man.
He lived in the Washington area for more than 50 years and, for
much of that time, worked on defense, satellite and other projects
for Melpar Inc. (now a division of Raytheon Co.), Orbital Research
Inc. and other companies. He retired about five years ago.
Mr. Holt was a member of Fairfax Baptist Temple in Fairfax
Station. His primary hobby was model railroading.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Coella Holt of Fairfax;
