Bishop Auckland Bishop Auckland's first 15 recorded a 34-17 friendly win at home to Durham and Northumberland fourth division league leaders Seaham in a friendly match at West Mills.

Unbeaten in the league, Seaham started the game with a flurry of attacking moves. Bishops, with former player Paul Brookes guesting in the front row, enjoyed a more solid scrum than in previous weeks. The Auckland backs revelled in a constant supply of possession as half backs Colwell and Dufton got them running at every opportunity.
