Bishop Auckland Bishop Auckland's first 15 recorded a 34-17
friendly win at home to Durham and Northumberland fourth division
league leaders Seaham in a friendly match at West Mills.
Unbeaten in the league, Seaham started the game with a flurry of
attacking moves. Bishops, with former player Paul Brookes guesting in
the front row, enjoyed a more solid scrum than in previous weeks. The
Auckland backs revelled in a constant supply of possession as half
backs Colwell and Dufton got them running at every opportunity.
While the Seaham pack held their own for long spells, and were
briefly in the lead with an early try, they had no answer to the pace
