Navy's football season is turning into a broken record. The
Midshipmen were shut out for the second straight game today and, in
the process, they again lost a starting quarterback.
Unbeaten Boston College won its third game and totaled 444
yards in a 28-0 homecoming victory. But far worse for Navy was the
injury list.
Quarterback Brian Ellis suffered a broken jaw when he was
struck by a forearm as he released a pass late in the third quarter.
He was playing in place of Jim Kubiak, whose throwing shoulder was
dislocated in a 53-0 loss to Virginia last week.
In addition to Ellis, Navy lost fullback Duke Ingraham with a
knee injury and defensive end Robert Goodson with a damaged ankle.
